Position Overview
As an SLP Summer Intern, you will work alongside our licensed speech-language pathologists. You will assist in the assessment and treatment of clients of all ages with various communication disorders. Your role will involve both hands-on therapy and supporting our team with daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed SLPs in developing and implementing treatment plans.
- Support client assessments under supervision.
- Engage with clients in therapy activities to promote their communication skills.
- Document progress and maintain accurate records.
- Help organize materials and equipment for therapy sessions.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for client care.
Who We’re Looking For
You should be passionate about speech-language pathology and eager to learn. Other qualifications we value include:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Empathy and patience when working with clients.
- Basic knowledge of communication disorders preferred.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
