Community Mental Health Support Specialist

Your Role
As a Community Mental Health Support Specialist, you will work directly with clients facing various mental health issues. Your primary goal will be to provide support, guidance, and resources to help them lead fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments to understand clients’ needs.
- Develop personalized support plans in collaboration with clients.
- Offer emotional support and encouragement during tough times.
- Facilitate group sessions and community workshops.
- Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Monitor client progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress.
Who You Are
To be successful in this role, you should have a genuine desire to help others. You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds. Understanding the challenges faced by individuals with mental health issues is key.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Experience in community mental health or a similar setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
